On Saturday, April 5, the fashion group took a road trip to New York City. It was a beautiful day, filled with colors, laughter, and intense walking. The first activity on our agenda was to visit FIT and The Museum at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) for their “Elegance in an Age of Crisis: Fashions of the 1930’s.” It was astounding to see the history of fashion during this decade, the garments were incredible. After the museum we stopped into the FIT bookstore and I purchased a couple Vogue magazines from India and Paris.  We were then off on the busy streets of NYC.
