Cyber Monday Success
After Thanksgiving, there is Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. This weekend offers people the opportunity to shop until they drop, and this Cyber Monday was very successful. Cyber Monday sales rose 18 percent from last year, which made it the day people have spent the most money online shopping for the fourth year in a row. Cyber Monday provided a bright light since this was the first year there was a decline in sales since 2009 on Back Friday. Several online websites are catering to people that do not want to drive to phyiscal stores by offering deals and fast shipping. Visa customers spent $2.6 billion on Cyber Monday, which was a 28 percent increase. Cyber Monday might have been a foreshadowing for the future of e-commerce. Who knows, stores may end up selling only through the web!
