Fashion Group: Philadelphia Trip
This past weekend, the Immaculata University Fashion Group took an educational trip to the city of Philadelphia.
The trip consisted of the Fashion Group taking the local train down to suburban station and walking the wonderful city streets that were filled with pleasure and style. Most members of the group never got a chance to travel our local city fashions and this was the perfect time to do so.
The first thing that was on our list of things to do was to visit the infamous “LOVE Park”, located in the JFK plaza. Even though the park was being renovated for the Christmas Holiday for the celebrated Christmas Village, we were still able to sneak past the workers and get a group picture in front of the “LOVE’ sign.
Our next destination was to Macy’s in center city. We skimmed all of the four floors and many departments for fashion and potential Christmas presents.
The last activity we decided to do was hit up Walnut and Chestnut streets to check out the retail and thrifts stores as well as look at some of the boutiques.
The retail stores we went into included H&M, and the stores inside the Liberty Place which included Express, Claire’s, and Victoria Secret. We also checked out American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, and Zara. We went into Buffalo exchange, a thrift store that sells vintage and used clothing.
And some of the boutiques that are located in that area include Boyd’s Philadelphia, Joan Shepp, South Moon Under, and Knit Wit.
The Fashion Group had a fabulous and fashionable time in the city. We hope to make another trip closer to the holiday season to enjoy not only the fashion but the Christmas lights, trees, and decorations.
